artPLAY FASHION DESIGNERS…LET’S START PLAYING….
INAUREM accessories by Métaraph – is a hand-crafted conceptual jewelry brand. INAUREM pieces are not just decorative ornaments: Métaraph’s work is concerned with metamorphosis and synergy, designing pieces that wrap around the wearer, enhancing features with geometric lines that embrace, rather than pierce, the body. Inspired by the Maori and Asian roots of their designer, INAUREM pieces aspire to an ‘indigenous futuristic’ aesthetic, re-imagining and questioning traditional forms of jewelry. The organic, framing pieces are not designed to impose an aesthetic on their wearer: instead, they focus and channel the characteristics of the body they furnish.
Métaraph is a London based, multidisciplinary artist, whose taken-name comes from merging of ‘metamorphosis’ and ‘Raphael’, illustrates his creative approach. He works in the fields of fashion, performance art, dance, music, and the visual arts and also is a curator in various genderfluid, underground events in London’s techno scene. Métaraph’s work aims to constantly morph and challenge accepted expressions of creativity.
“My vision of life, art and creative expression is developing around the concept of the eternal shapeshifting process that evolves human aesthetics, ethics and actualities” Métaraph.
